Robert Pierson, Loving Husband & Dad

Robert Pierson unexpectedly passed away Jan 31, 2022 from complications related to COVID. Robert's death was a shock to the family because he had been making progress and was on his path to a full recovery.

Here is an overview:

Dec 21st: Admitted to Waconia hospital and placed on a ventilator.

Jan 3rd: He got pneumonia, bacteremia, and was started on dialysis.

Jan 10th: He had a bronchoscopy and was at the max ventilator settings.

Jan 11th: He was transferred to Abbott Northwester Hospital via helicopter

Jan 25th: His oxygen levels and ventilator settings were stable. He was off of dialysis, his kidneys were working well, the antibiotics had effectively treated the pneumonia. He got a tracheostomy.

Jan 30: He was transferred out of the ICU. Robert was up in the chair, chatting with his family virtually, participating in therapy, they were planing on take his tracheostomy out in a few days.

Robert was a loving husband to his wife Tara (Stewart) of 21 years. They have two adult sons, Jeremiah (21 years old) and Timothy (19 years old). Jeremiah is currently living in Prior Lake, currently serving in the Army Reserves, and working in Shakopee. Timothy is serving in the Marine Corps, studying at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.

Robert worked full time as an auto mechanic at Lenzen Chevrolet and part time at O'Reilly Auto Parts. He enjoyed wrestling, mountain biking, motorcycles, spending time with his family and friends.
