Hello All,
From the Children of Bobby Mercer:
From the Children of Bobby Mercer:
This GoFundMe page is represented to support Robert "Bob" Mercer. For 1 year, since December of 2020, Robert has battled with severe diverticulitis, resulting of the removal of his lower small intestines and colon. The discovery of the digestive disease came as a shock to Robert and the immediate family supporting him. He is under constant hospital care, has been bed ridden for a year, limiting his ability to work and generate income to pay medical bills totaling 7 figures.
Working in the car business for 30 years, Robert has relied on his being able to network and build relationships with customers to generate income for his family. He has been facility hospitalized or homebound, since January 27th, 2021, in constant pain. This has limited his ability to secure product to online platforms only, heavily impacting his opportunity to make revenue to support his medical bills and homestead.
Robert is still currently hospitalized with his 2nd major abdominal surgery in 2021, with additional setbacks that will require another year of treatment into the majority 2022. This has been a grueling mental and physical to battle with the health problem, while also trying to pay living expenses on top of a mountain of medical charges.
Our dad is the strongest and most resilient man we have ever known. This major life event came as an abrupt surprise and has taken an astronomical toll on our family. We want our dad to be healthy and live a comfortable life moving forward, after the pain and suffering he has been forced to endure for over a year. Robert is expected to have 1 final surgery in the summer of 2022 to finalize the recovery process of his severe diverticulitis.
