Robert Maull Memorial Scholarship Fund

Tax deductible
Dear Family and Friends of Robert Maull, Lola Maull-Solis, Fleet Maull & the Maull and Solis families and other generous friends of Prison Dharma Network (Prison Mindfulness Institute, Engaged Mindfulness Institute, Center for Mindfulness in Public Safety) and Heart Mind Institute,

We have established a scholarship fund at Johnson & Wales University where Robert graduated with a degree in culinary arts in 2014.  This scholarship fund at Johnson & Wales will provide scholarships based on qualifications, need and merit to culinary arts students who have either been incarcerated themselves or who have one or more parents who have been incarcerated.

This campaign will be managed through Prison Dharma Network, Inc, a tax-exempt 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization.  Johnson & Wales University is also a tax-exempt, nonprofit educational institution.  All donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.)

To fund this scholarship fund in Robert's name,  we must raise $50,000 in five years.  Scholarships will not be granted until the scholarship fund is fully funded.

We hope to fully fund the Robert C. W. Maull Memorial Scholarship at Johnson & Wales University this year in 2021.

Robert who died unexpectedly on September 14, 2020 at his home in Rumichaca, in the Sacred Valley near Urubamba, Peru, worked in the restaurant industry is entire adult life and was a passionate chef and restauranteur.  Given that Robert came of age, while is father was serving time in prison, we feel supporting young people who have parents who have been incarcerated or who themselves have been incarcerated would be particularly meaningful for Robert.

Please help us help these young people aspiring to a career in the culinary arts in Robert's name and memory.

To kick off this campaign on Robert's birthday, June 3, 2021, Robert's father is donating $5,000 to this fundraising effort to fund the Robert C. W. Maull Memorial Scholarship at Johnson & Wales University.
