Robert (Bob) Lipsky is having open heart surgery on Thursday, April 30th. The surgery is supposed to take approximately 7 hours and the recovery time will be long. He has always been a very hard-working man, working 2 jobs all his life. One of his favorite jobs was being a softball umpire at Expressway Park for over 30 years. Bob was recently inducted into the Softball Hall of Fame for umpiring. Two jobs will be out of the equation from this point forward. The upcoming surgery and the unknown of when he can return to work is an insurmountable amount of stress for both Robert and his wife Sheila. Sheila also has heart issues and the last few years she had to leave her job as well. Hopefully we can help alleviate their financial stress so they both can focus on Robert’s recovery.
