Hi my name is Sarah. I live with my family on the Isle of Wight.
Sadly we found my Dad Robert Leppard passed away at his home on the 25th of May 2025.
Dad was a complete one of a kind human being, who had struggled with health issues for many years.
He had a laugh that was infectious ( or sometimes quite haunting) and he cared none for anyone’s opinion about his life style choices. He lived his life his way!
His love for animals was something that no one could dispute. From a young age , he connected to animals in a way he never could with humans. Animals didn’t judge him, or talk back to him. `
He adored Daisy-Dog, whom sadly passed away recently and Hollis the fun, busy and mischievous African Grey Parrot. Hollis certainly kept Dad amused and he stayed by his side at all times.
Another big love was of course Bob Dylan. Dad could resonate with his lyrics and they got him through some of his darkest days.
Many of you would have seen him wearing a black hat and long black coat , wondering through town over the years.
Another love of dads was weightlifting and fitness, which he enjoyed in his younger years.
He wasn’t the conventional dad, and he’s definitely put me through some difficult times over the years, but he was my dad and I loved him.
Unfortunately Dad didn’t leave any funeral plans or funding in the event of his death. We are struggling with the expenses that his sudden death has left us with.
I know that Dad, myself and my family, would appreciate any help that you maybe able to give.
All funds donated will be used for Dad’s funeral, Wake and expenses that arise.
I know that Dad had many friends; be it on the Isle of Wight, throughout U.K., overseas or online. He had a very active Facebook page and thank you for all the wonderful messages.
Thank you for your support at this really difficult and upsetting time, it’s so appreciated.
I will always be your Sweetheart Dad. Miss you so much. ❤️
