Hi, my name is Mariah Lenon and I am writing this on behalf of my siblings and I during these unfortunate unexpected circumstances. On Monday morning I received a message from our job at The Local restaurant downtown Minneapolis where our father was a Line Cook for many years (13-14) if I am not mistaken, asking if he was okay as he hadn't shown up for his shift that morning which is unlike him. After a few exchanged words I advised them that I would try calling him. I made two calls which went straight to voicemail. I didn't think too much into it until about 2:30pm rolled around and I still hadn't heard from him. At that point I called him two more times with the phone still going straight to voicemail. I then notified the job that I still hadn't heard from him and I would stop by his house after work to see if everything was okay. Not even 15 minutes later his landlord was calling me and my heart instantly sunk. Thats when I found out our father was found deceased in his bedroom on the floor.

As this has come as a shock on all of us we have found quickly that our father just simply wasn't prepared for this, neither were we as he had no will, or life insurance (though it was something he was looking into with our job he just hadn't had the chance to sit down and get it all set up). Thats what brings us to this point. I have created this gofundme to reach out to our family and friends and ask for help to allow us all to come together in this sad time of need.

We have started the paperwork of Hennepin County Burial Assistance which we are still waiting on answers from which could possibly take a few days. We have chosen Billman-Hunt Funeral home in NE Minneapolis, which is likely where pending services will be held, we haven't set a date yet. We as a family would like to start moving forward with planning a proper celebration of life ceremony (urn, flowers, food, space) and repass where we can all gather, fill our stomachs with joy and laughter and food (he loved food) and remember all the great times we all once shared with our beloved Robert.
