Robert James Nickerson

My name is Justin Wagner, and I’m reaching out after the heartbreaking loss of my dear friend and longtime team member, Robert James Nickerson, who tragically passed away on August 26, 2025, in Prince Rupert.

Robert was so much more than an employee—he was family to all of us at Shooting Star. With his big heart, unforgettable smile, and steady presence at the Ferris Wheel, Robert had a way of making everyone feel welcome. He loved his work and the people around him, and that joy was felt by every guest and coworker he met.

Back home in Nova Scotia, Robert leaves behind family and friends who adored him—he was a devoted son, grandson, brother, uncle, cousin, and loyal friend.

We are raising funds to support his loved ones. This is our way of honoring the incredible person he was and ensuring his family can celebrate his life with the dignity and love he deserves.
