On February 17, 2019, after years battling diabetes and depression, Robert Hernandez left behind his beautiful, young children.
Who was Robert Hernandez? An extremely proud father of five; a proud son, one of seven men; a proud individual of his parents' cultures; a larger-than-life personality with one goal: to give his family the best life they could possibly imagine. Robert was creative, full of energy, with a sense of humor that could upset you or make you smile. Robert experienced a lot of bad luck in his life but he did his best to smile and keep trying his best. He loved, and he loved hard. He would give you all of his possessions to make you comfortable, even if that meant sacrificing his own comfort. He always put family first in every situation. If you knew Robert, you know that he loved his kids. No one was a favorite--he loved them equally and they loved him. If he could have had them all at the same time, laughing and hanging out he would have. Unfortunately, this wasn’t possible for them. Money had always been an issue for all of them, as with so many people, but Robert tried--he did.
We know he would have done anything to get his kids to meet and start a relationship with each other. It’s sad that unfortunate events like Robert's death bring families closer. Our goal is to fulfill what Robert would have wanted before he left this world. We are asking for your help to bring three of his children (Tatiana and Enrique, who live in Washington, and Ariana, in Texas) together, and to meet and build lifelong relationships in honor of their father. It is said that, “Goodbyes hurt the most, when the story is not finished.” The children no longer have their father, but are now more than ever going to need each other, for life’s ups and downs, and to finish Robert's story. We greatly appreciate any support you can provide. Donating or sharing this gofundme with your social network would mean so much to us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
