My dad Robert Clark was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) in 2015.
In August of 2018 he was placed on the lung transplant list through Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids Michigan.
On August 13th, 2018 my dad received the phone call they had a match after only being on the transplant list for 4 days. It was a miracle. On August 15th he had the transplant surgery.
His recovery has been nothing short of fantastic.
He is amazing the nurses and doctors with how fast he is walking and doing other tasks.
After being on oxygen since January 2018 he no longer needs it.
My family is ever so grateful for the donor and the staff at Spectrum.
As amazing as that is, there still another hurdle to overcome, one that we are looking for help with. My parents need help with getting the very expensive antibiotic and anti-fungal medicines he will need to be on for the next 3-4 months. Even with my dads insurance it’s still nearly $2,000 per month that he has to take it.
We are asking for anything that you can donate to help offset the cost. Thank you for all the prayers and well wishes.
