Robert Gates III Home Going Service
Donation protected
Jeffoire Arcio II from San Diego, California. I am a close friend of the family and started this Go Fund Me page to help Mrs. Shirlee Gates with the burial services for her son. As soon as this message is approved, the funds will be deposited on my behalf, and I will give Mrs. Shirlee Gates a cashiers check for the full amount to assist with the service costs and arrangements.
Mrs. Gates has asked me to please post this on her behalf to all of her sons supporters.
From the Grieving Mother
of Robert Lamont Gates III
My heart is so empty from the loss of my son. I thank God for the love and joy He instilled with having him for the time he was with me. My son had a heart of gold, and many friends who loved and shared many laughs and secrets, most of which he took with him. I never knew how many friends and loved ones Robert had in his life. It was overwhelming to see so many of you there at his Home Going celebration.
I want to thank each and every one of you for all you did to help me through this time of grieving. I couldn’t have been happier to see/meet each of you that came from near and far to show your love and support for my son. God Bless you all and many thanks!
Never stop loving each other and keep in touch. I would not have ever known where to find most of you that came out to celebrate Robert’s life. That’s what friends do. Robert L. Gates loved you all. Thank you for being his friend, and mine. Love one another as God loves you. Tell your parents, your children, and your friends daily, how much you love them, and how much they mean to you. A kiss and hug will keep you close to them. I will always hear my son’s voice telling me he loved me daily. If not in person, then over the phone! I still hear him saying those words to me because I know it came from his heart. I loved him so much, and his spirit is planted in my soul forever.
Thank you for loving him as your dear friend. I won’t forget any of you. If you’re ever in the area, keep hope alive and stop by to say “Hi”, I love you all!!
Many Thanks for all you did to help me.

Hi my name is Jeffoire Arcio II from San Diego, California. I am a close friend of the family and started this Go Fund Me Page to help Mrs. Shirlee Gates with the burial services for her son.
Friends and family, as most of you know we recently lost a young man way too soon. Robert Gates, III, passed away on Thursday, April 18th, 2019, at the age of 44 due to heart complications.
Robert was a strong-willed, hard working man that had an infectious smile. He loved to teach / talk / debate sports with anyone. He grew up in Mira Mesa and stayed active in the community coaching at both Mira Mesa and Scripps Ranch HS. Robert played baseball, football, and basketball in Mira Mesa from a young age through his High School years. He attended Menlo College in the Bay Area, and then returned to San Diego where he worked as a staffing counselor, helping to place people in solid jobs.
Shirlee Gates, who also lost her husband Robert Gates, II, in April of 1996, has now lost her only son. Several people have reached out and asked how they can help Mrs. Gates during this time.
As a result we have set up this page to offset some of the funeral costs for his Mom. Anything you can contribute to help her with costs for Robert's service would be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance for your support during this time.
Mrs. Gates has asked me to please post this on her behalf to all of her sons supporters.
