Nov. 2nd Update: Robert will have a 2nd surgery tomorrow to complete the amputation if his leg. He will be released from the hospital in 1-2 weeks depending on how well he's healing. Then he and Brooklyn will start the long journey of his recovery and a huge life adjustment. I will give another post-op update tomorrow.

This fundraiser is to help my niece, Brooklyn, and her boyfriend, Robert.

On Nov. 1. Robert got his foot caught in a machine at work that was supposed be off. The machine was set to auto and when Robert's foot touched the door of the machine, the laser sensed the presence of his foot. Unfortunately, it caught his foot and ripped his leg off from the knee down. The accident was too traumatic for doctors to be able to reattach the leg.

Robert will need multiple surgeries to repair the damage and will be in the hospital for a few months. Brooklyn is Roberts long time live-in girlfriend and will need to take time off work to care for Robert as he begins his journey to recover from this accident.

Please consider donating what you can and sharing this fundraiser to support this beautiful young couple.

I will post updates to Robert's recovery and condition as soon as I know more.
