Hi, my name is Raquel and I am Robert’s mom. Robert and Emily welcomed their new baby girl Laiklynn into the world on Saturday May 6th at 2:16 am. Laiklynn was three and a half weeks early. She was sent to Albany med NICU as her chord blood showed that at some point during labor and delivery she was oxygen deprived. That is where she currently is and we are not sure how long she will be there. She is improving and all signs are showing she will be ok. Robert received a call from his employer today that he does not qualify for FMLA because he hasn’t been back with his current employer again for 26 weeks. Robert had left his current employer before Christmas to work for Target as it was more money and he was trying to better himself and his soon to be new family. Right after Christmas, and days before he was supposed to receive his bonus from Target, they layed him (and a bunch of other people) off. He went back to his current employer again. He was counting on collecting FMLA for five weeks to be home with his new born. This go fund me would be the amount of his paychecks for five weeks. Thank you!
