Robert "Don" Chambers was born in November 1948. He was a loving husband, a kind father, a playful grandfather, and a joyful brother. He was a dedicated Marine in the Vietnam War in the 1970s, and in the early 1990s, he reenlisted in the National Guard. He has traveled and served all over the world.

However, these services lead to many disabilities and health conditions. Don has survived multiple wars, and he has beaten cancer before. He was a soldier, and he fought death to stay with his family for as long as he physically could.

After a year of medical care and diagnoses, in late March of 2023, Don was finally diagnosed with bone cancer (and several broken bones), cancer of the lymph nodes, and a severe blood infection. Finally having a diagnosis to focus on, his family had hope in treatment and recovery. We were given only months left with him, but we still had hope. Unfortunately, in a few days, his heart and lungs could no longer bear the strain of everything, and Don passed away Monday night, April 3rd, 2023.

Don was the main source of income for his family, and he provided a roof over the head of his wife, children, and grandchildren. Without him, any extra help to mitigate debt, bills, and loss of income would be so appreciated by his remaining loved ones.
