Support Robert "Clarky" Clark on his Road to Recovery

Donation protected
On a seemingly ordinary Thursday, January 9th, our lives were turned upside down. My big brother, Robert(Rob) —also affectionately known as Clarky—was enjoying a dirtbike ride in the forest just outside Bathurst. Whilst stopped on the bike, a falling tree struck him, knocked him off the bike and lead to a series of unimaginable events.

Robert was airlifted to Sydney, where doctors discovered he had sustained multiple serious injuries: fractured ribs, a punctured lung, a fractured back, and a broken leg. Upon arrival, he underwent surgery to repair his ribs and received a nerve block to manage the excruciating pain. Since then, Robert has been left without feeling or movement below his neck—a condition diagnosed as a spinal stroke, the cause of which remains unknown. He continues to have no movement or feeling below his neck for the past 2 weeks.

Our family is devastated, grappling with the emotional turmoil of seeing Rob, who just celebrated his milestone 50th birthday, face such a life-altering challenge. We are clinging to hope, praying for the day he regains movement and independence.

Rob is beginning spinal rehabilitation at Royal North Shore Hospital. The journey ahead is long and uncertain, but we are determined to support him every step of the way. To aid his recovery, we've launched a GoFundMe campaign. Your generous donations will be crucial in providing the care and rehabilitation Rob needs. It will also support his loving wife, Rachel, and their two young sons, Charlie (12) and Will (10), as they navigate this difficult time. His family live 200k’s away from where he is in Sydney.

We humbly ask for your support—whether through donations or by sharing Rob’s story far and wide. Every contribution, big or small, brings us closer to helping him reclaim his life and help his family support him. Your kindness and generosity will forever be etched in our hearts.

Please keep Rob in your thoughts and prayers as we rally around him in love and support. Help us turn this tragedy into a story of hope and resilience.

Thank you for being a part of Rob’s  journey to recovery.
