A call I never wish anyone will have to get. On Saturday February 6th at 12pm I received a call that my father, Robert Bruce Caby, had passed away in his sleep. I stood in shock and collapsed to the floor hysterical. Millions of thoughts ran through my brain: who will help me drive to and from college, who will help me restart my computer when I think it is broken because it won't turn on, and lastly when I get married, who is gonna walk me down the isle? After thinking about myself my mind went immediately to my mother and my sister. He will not be there to see my little sister graduate high school or even see her go into high school. As for my mother how was she holding up? My parents are the true poster for true love and I couldn't imagine what she was going through. All I knew in that moment was I needed to be there for my family.
After coming home and shedding many tears reality set in. Funerals are expensive. The cost of getting put into the ground is down right unimaginable. My father would not want us to stress and get overwhelmed about this but it was inevitable. I am asking for help for the funeral because we lost an income and I am a college student out of state and frankly because I don't want to live in a cardboard box. So anything you can donate even if it is just a dollar it will make all the difference.
My father was a passionate man who had a large heart. I looked up to him and I am heartbroken that he is gone. I will try my hardest to make him proud every day. Robert Caby was one of my biggest supporters and although I was not ready to let him go this soon the fire and passion he had inside burns within all of my family members and because of that his memory will live on.
So anything you can donate will help. His wife Suzanne Marshall- Caby will be in charge of all the expenses from here on out.
