Robert "Bobby" Higgins

Bobby Higgins passed away March 18, 2023 in Chattanooga, TN. Here are words from his only child (daughter), Shea.

I've never been so unprepared for what I'm facing today and the next few days to come. I've always been my Daddy's safety net, this time.. I couldn't save him. From 1955 (his birth) until 2007 (her death) my Mamaw made sure he was taken care of. I'll never forget the day we buried her and I sat on her bed in her room these words dropped in my spirit. "The torch has been passed to you, Shea" from that day I took that role very seriously and I took care of everything I had the ability to take care of for him. My Mamaw called my daddy's name out to Jesus every day of her life! I know because I heard the pleading & praying! It didn't stop with her, that was part of the torch. He was my Daddy & I was and will always be proud of that.

The upcoming days are going to be very hard & one of my biggest concerns is placing him in his final resting place in the way he & my Mamaw would want. The financial burden of that is heavy and I really need God to provide because he left this world without any life insurance or burial. He does have a plot right next to my Mamaw between her & my uncle Steve (my daddy's baby brother) & that's where I will lay him if it takes everything I have to do it.
