Robert “Bobby” Parsons, lived in Moorpark, CA, with his family, James Sr., Linda, James Jr., Rita, Daniel and David Parsons, “the Hippies”, until 2002. Aftert the death of his mother, Linda Parsons (2002), Bobby moved to Arizona. Bobby graduated from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Scottsdale Arizona in 2005. In 2006, he moved to Page, Arizona, to work at Lake Powell Resort, where he remained for 13 years. Bobby married his longtime girlfriend, Wendy R. Martinez in June 2018.
In October 2018, Bobby found that his gland was swollen and was not responding to medication. He finally went to the doctor when they decided he needed to have his thyroid removed.
On January 21, 2019, he went to Flagstaff Medical Center to have his surgery. During which the doctor discovered an inoperable tumor wrapped around his neck. The culture showed that he had a very rare form of cancer called Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer.
Bobby opted not to go through Chemotherapy or Radiation treatments. Instead he chose to spend whatever time the Lord would grant him, “living” and spending time with family and friends.
On March 5, 2019, the Lord took, Robert “Bobby” Edward Parsons, “Doofus”, home. He is pain & Cancer free!
I like to imagine he is fishing in Heaven with those who have gone before him, especially our mom & dad.
“Catch the big one Doofus!”
Bobby was 49 years young. Due to the suddenness and aggressive behavior of his Cancer, time did not allow for funeral arrangements. We are asking for donations to help our family to offset expenses for these arrangements.
Any excess donations over the cost of funeral services, will be donated to Compassus Hospice, who have been a saving grace during this most difficult time.
