Living Spirit Community Church
Robert "Bob" Williams of Ocala, Florida passed away exactly 90 days after the death of his son Tim Williams, after discovering he had cancer. During the final months of his life before losing his son and discovering he had terminal cancer, Bob was a founding member of a small new church in Ocala, FL "Living Spirit Community Church", only to have passed away while still grieving his son Tim and dying from cancer, to have never set foot to enjoy the wonderful services that have just recently begun. Its the final tribute to his life that we help this little church flourish in Bobs honor, because Bob was selfless his entire life.
His defining story began just a couple years after being born, when his father graduated from The University of Chicago Medical School as a Neuro Seurgeon, went off to war, and was killed when Bob and his brother were too young to even know him (the cover photo is the last photo we have of them together with Bob on the left and his brother Bill on the right). Growing up without a his father inspired him and his wife Jerilyn to foster 70 children over a 20 year period while raising their own three children and then adopting a fourth child.
Bob started his career as a band teacher at Huntley Middle school in DeKalb, IL. His passion was teaching music. Bob was promoted four times, in the same school system, to the top job of Superintendent along the way touching hundreds of lives no matter who you were or the position or status you held. After retirement he was the director of music at a local church in Ocala for nine years.
Bob is survived by his wife Jerilyn, children Jill & her husband Dan, Robb & his wife Laurie, Fantasheia, & grand children, Jaimee, Zachary, Nicholas, Jacob, Benjamin, Ashley, Brenna, Emily, & Caroline, brother William Williams & sister Sue Maier.
His memorial service willl be held on Saturday, May 13th at 3 pm in Ocala, Florida. In lieu of flowers please donate to this campaign to help this little church in Ocala, FL spread its wings in honor of Bob!
