Help Bob Fight Stage 4 Cancer

This is Robert (Bob) Laframboise — a proud Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario resident, a lifelong hard worker, and someone who has always shown up for his family.

Bob was born and raised in Sudbury in a large, close-knit family. For many years, he has worked at Rexall, and even through everything he’s facing, he continues to work when he can. Bob is the kind of person who doesn’t complain and doesn’t ask for help. He loves playing guitar, spending time with his grandchildren, and simply being present for the people he loves.

In 2018, Bob was diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer, which later spread to his bones. For several years, his condition remained stable, allowing him to continue living life on his terms. Recently, however, the cancer has become more aggressive, and Bob is now undergoing chemotherapy treatments at the local hospital.

These treatments are physically exhausting and emotionally draining. Each chemotherapy session lasts hours, followed by days of recovery. Through all of this, Bob’s daughter has been by his side every step of the way — driving him to appointments, sitting with him during three-hour chemo sessions, helping manage his household responsibilities, and making sure he can focus on what matters most: his health.

This fundraiser is about easing the financial stress that comes with long-term cancer treatment — including travel costs, daily living expenses, medications, time away from work, and the unexpected costs that pile up quickly. No one should have to choose between focusing on their health and worrying about how to make ends meet.

Bob has spent his life working hard and caring for others. Now, we’re asking for help to support him during the toughest fight of his life.
