Robert Barham's Family Support (diabetic coma - stroke)

Hello, my name is Tina Diane Corral (Barham); my family is so grateful for all your prayers and messages about my younger brother, Robert Barham (41 years old). Unfortunately, with Robert being in the hospital in Rodgers and my family (my parents) having to travel roughly 240 miles round trip to the hospital to see him and then take my niece and nephew to school since Robert is a widowed father, my parents are retired and have a fixed income.

The cost is adding up very quickly, and it is so close to the holidays, with everything his children Brayden (12 years old) and Nevaeh (10 years old) have already been through so much. They lost their mom 7 years ago, and now their dad is going through this. My heart breaks for my family. It is tough to live 1500 miles away when your family is hurting, and it is also challenging to ask for help, but there isn't anything I wouldn't do for the ones I love. Below is the story of what has happened to my brother in the last few days.

Late Friday evening, he stood up and immediately passed out. When he woke up, he was unable to speak and was confused. After arriving by ambulance to the hospital, his symptoms got worse, and he went into a diabetic coma.

He was then transferred to Mercy in Rogers, where he emerged from his diabetic coma on Sunday! There have not been any changes; he is awake and alert, but he cannot walk, nor can he talk. It's a very long journey ahead, and we do not know when he can go home. But we're staying positive.
