Hi, This is from your cousins, Nicola and Hazel,
Last year I went to Scotland and with the help of quite a few cousins, Hazel and I found our grandparents' grave in Hayfield Cemetery in Kirkcaldy Fife. When they died in the early 1950s, most of their children were new parents and they could not afford a headstone. It is now 70 years later and there are over 100 descendants and we thought it was time to mark their grave. Hazel (Auntie Isobel's daughter), Margaret (Aunti Ella's daughter) and I (Auntie Emily's daughter) worked together with Douglas (Auntie Nancy's son) and many others to find the records, locate the grave and get the permissions. That is all done, the headstone is carved and all we need to do is pay. We thought is everyone put in $AUS40 or £20 or whatever amount you can afford it would be appreciated.
When it is done, we will send you all a photo and the plot number for the grave.
Any questions, happy for you to message me via email on [email redacted]
