Overnight on January 7, the devastating Eaton Fire, fueled by the Santa Ana winds, ravaged Altadena, leaving entire streets and homes in ruins. Among those tragically affected by this inferno were Robert and Ing, whose 30-year home was reduced to ashes. The fire obliterated everything on their property, including their house, garage, stable, and the fruit trees they had planted when they first settled in. All their cherished family heirlooms, photographs, Robert’s tools, and Ing’s piano were consumed by the raging flames. Miraculously, they managed to escape the inferno with only the clothes on their backs and two vehicles.
