Robert Morgan Treatment

Donation protected
Robert Morgan has always said "As long as my family is okay, I am okay." He has never wanted attention or for anyone to worry about him. He has alway taken care of everyone and would literally give you the shirt off his back if needed it. To his family he is "Mr. Fix it" and never will ask for help. He enjoys spending time with his family, especially his 6 grandkids, and watching them all play ball. Robert became sick in December 2023 and was admitted to the hospital on December 20th at GRMC and then was transferred to UAB for a week. He was ultimately diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in his bile duct, cholangiocarcinoma. He had follow-up appointments in January at UAB and was given the option of palliative chemotherapy to prolong his life. The decision was then made to seek a 2nd opinion at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. He had his 1st appointment on 2/14/24. Since then, he has had multiple appointments. Robert and Fran are still in Houston where he will have a procedure on 2/22 and 2/23. After his procedure on 2/23, he will be able to return home for 1-2 weeks. Robert will then have to return to MD Anderson for his initial phase of treatment to stay for 3 weeks and undergo radiation treatment. He will also be on oral chemotherapy during this time. Fran will be by his side throughout the time in Texas. Andrew, Hannah, and Bethany will be traveling back and fourth between home and being with their Mom and Dad. His treatment is going to require an unknown amount of stays in Houston, flights back and forth, and unknown amount of medical bills. So many have reached out to help the family during this difficult time, and although prayers are the main thing that needed at this time, there will be a great financial burden with this treatment. If you have ever experienced something like this, you know finances are the last thing you should have to stress over. All donations will be going towards things that the family will need for his medical care such as bills and travel expenses, and lodging. The family mainly ask that you please continue to pray for Robert and the entire family as they navigate through this journey. If you are able, please donate. If you are not able to give at this time, please continue to pray for this precious family.
