On Wednesday, February 5, 2020, our sister NaToya Aimery lost her two sons Robert (13) and Elijah (9) Scales from a house fire in Grand Rapids, MI. Also involved in the fatal fire was their stepmother and stepbrother. No words can fully express the pain that we feel as a family as this unimaginable tragedy has changed the course of our lives forever.
Robert & Elijah were two young, vivacious, talented, intelligent, and loving boys. They loved playing sports, working outside with their dad and stepbrother, and spending time with close family members. Having aspirations to go to college and becoming business owners, their future's were both bright and promising. Their presence was sure to illuminate every space they occupied with their beautiful smiles and energetic personalities. Although separated from this world, their spirits are closer to us more than ever before. As a family, we endeavor to honor their lives and cherish their memory as they will forever be in our hearts. We love you Robert and Elijah!
To assist in off-setting the cost of funeral and burial arrangements, we are asking for all who can and are willing to donate a monetary blessing to our sister, daughter, and friend, NaToya, as she prepares to lay her sons to rest. Nothing can replace the lives we've lost but with your financial contribution of any amount, the weight and burden of this untimely tragedy will lighten the load and allow us to grieve properly.
