Robert A. Mingo Memorial Fund

Robert Mingo spent his entire life loving others deeply and living a life modeled after Jesus. A loving husband to Amy for 21 years, a kind and loving brother to Don, Barry, Kristi, Karri, and Kelli, the "fun" uncle to several nieces and nephews, and a caring friend to all he encountered, Robert's gift to us all is that he provided everyone with so much love, acceptance, and friendship. Robert's faith, joy and sense of community were what made him special, and we see that in everyone he came into contact with. Because of Robert's goodness and strong faith, friends and strangers alike have been uplifted by the way he supported them with encouragement, optimism, and his gift of poetry.

Robert passed away due to complications of FSH Muscular Dystrophy on February 26, 2023. His wife and caregiver, Amy has a long journey ahead but is blessed with an incredible community of people who love her deeply. By contributing to this GoFundMe, you will be supporting Amy going forward with arrangements for Robert's funeral, memorial services, final medical bills, and the cost of daily living. Amy has spent the past 14 years as Robert's paid, FT caregiver so not only has she lost her loving spouse, she has lost her full income.

In the past year, Robert made it known that he did not want gifts of flowers or donations to organizations made in his name at the time of his death. Instead of these, he wished for his bride Amy to be generously cared for after she spent the majority of their married life as his caregiver, giving her time to grieve and some security as she finds what's next for her moving forward.
