Join Robbyn's Fight Against Breast Cancer

I met Robbyn Perez about 10 years ago through her husband Sean, a friend for over 30 years. They’re kind and loving people who give as much as to the community, volunteering with The Humane Society, The American Heart Association and The Alzheimer’s Association as well as multiple local youth symphony organizations, as they do to their family and friends. These parents of 3 need our help. Robbyn was diagnosed with breast cancer, just had a double mastectomy and will need additional forms of treatment.
Robbyn dedicated 28 years guiding patients and their families to services they need, sometimes providing those services herself. On January 1 of this year her position was eliminated due to corporate restructuring. After an exhaustive search, she found work in April, but was told last week that a workforce reduction would leave her without a job, again. To learn you no longer have a job and have breast cancer in the same couple of weeks is unfathomable.
It’s through her husband’s work as a CTE teacher that Robbyn has health insurance. Health insurance will pay partially for services and care, but the coverage will fall far short. Their family’s main source of income was through Robbyn’s employment. As Robbyn faces the fight for her life, encountering not only the physical and mental challenges of cancer treatment, but the extensive time needed for medical visits and therapy too, finding and starting a new job is not a possibility. She’s stronger than most and a fighter but she’s going to need to fight her most important battle now and focus on her health.
This family gives love and decency and hope to everyone who has had the opportunity to spend time with them as well as to people they meet in mental, emotional and physical distress.
