Hi everyone,
This is MaryAnn, Robbie’s wife—and I’m reaching out because the man who’s always the first to support others now needs our help. During this weekend’s Rumble in the Jungle fitness event at The Ruckus Room, Robbie suffered a bicep tear while competing. Thanks to the quick expertise of Dr. Brett Jones at The Source Chiropractic, he was assessed, bandaged, and given a sling—but we won’t know the full extent of the injury until his MRI on Monday. While we’re hopeful for a natural recovery, we’re also preparing for the possibility of surgery and a long rehab ahead.
Why This Matters:
Robbie isn’t just an amazing husband and dad—he’s a dedicated coach and personal trainer at The Ruckus Room and Chuze Fitness, and his ability to work will be impacted while he heals. We’re optimistic he can recover without surgery, but even with rest and rehab, he’ll be unable to train clients one-on-one for weeks (or possibly months). That means lost wages on top of medical expenses—and as anyone who knows Robbie understands, being sidelined is almost as tough for him as the injury itself.
How You Can Help:
We’re humbly asking for support to cover:
- MRI and diagnostic costs (happening Monday)
- Physical therapy and rehab (to help him heal naturally and regain strength)
- Recovery aids (specialized braces, mobility tools, etc.)
- Specialist visits, surgery, or PT (if needed)
- Everyday expenses while he’s unable to train clients
Robbie’s Spirit:
True to form, Robbie’s staying positive—joking with his colleagues & fellow gym regulars, already planning his comeback, and so grateful for the outpouring of love from The Ruckus Room family. But as his partner, I want to make sure he can focus entirely on healing without the added stress of mounting bills.
Thank You:
From the bottom of my heart—whether you’ve trained with Robbie, cheered him on, or simply know his big heart—your support means everything. If you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser helps just as much. We’ll keep you all updated after the MRI, and we’re so thankful to have you in our corner.
With love and gratitude,
MaryAnn and the Montalvo Family
