Robbie's Recovery and Family Care Fund

Hi all,
I am Robbie Copeland. I am raising funds to help my family during my temporary disability from a surgery I had back in December that didn't go well.
My wife lost her job back in May 2022 when our oldest son was involved in a domestic dispute with his wife that ended with a bullet lodged in his brain. He survived, but in November 2023 we were called in by doctors to take over his medical care due to negligence (very long story). In February 2024, my wife was awarded guardianship by the state court to handle his immediate care because he is a paraplegic and cannot do anything for himself. He has been living with us ever since and has improved drastically in his health from when we received him from the hospital due to her taking care of him diligently.
In December of 2024, I had surgery on my left foot to help alleviate some foot pain I was having. By the middle of January 2025, my foot had become infected and I contracted gangrene in my bone and my blood system. This setback resulted in the removal of about 35% of my foot and I spent 15 days in the hospital. I went home with a PICC line and IV antibiotics for the next 6 weeks. I've spent 5 days a week traveling back and forth from home to the hospital wound care facility doing hyperbaric treatments to help the wound on my foot heal quicker. I've made drastic improvements over the last 4 months with the hopes of returning to work soon. Unfortunately, my short-term disability from work ends soon, which has allowed us to survive thus far, and the doctors have not settled on a return date because I still have an open wound and still currently cannot walk. I will still possibly have to have one more skin graft, physical therapy, and a customized insole made before I can return to my normal work duties.
The last several years have been hard on my wife and me; however, we have managed, but now feel like we have reached the end of our rope. Like someone once told me, we have been fighting like the third monkey heading for Noah's Ark. We will continue to fight until we have no more fight in us.
The stress my wife has been under having to care for not just one but two disabled people has really taken its toll on her. She has been a strong rock and manages to get up every day and push forward.
I pray and hope you can find it in your hearts to help us out in this time of need. We are just praying to make it long enough for me to return to work.
