On February 4, Robbie Bianco, a universally-loved MLL Challenger division athlete, born eighth of ten siblings, lost his magnetic father, Michael, who passed away from COVID-19. Mike was the ever present, gold standard of fathers. He was Robbie's devoted dad, caretaker, fan, and best friend. Mike was also Robbie's primary financial supporter, as his mother, Darby, passed away ten years ago.

Robbie is larger than life in the greater McLean community. He is a McLean High School graduate, Davis Center student, and has played in the McLean Little League Challenger division for more than a decade. He is known for his home runs and speed-demon base running.

Obviously, Mike's passing has significant consequences for Robbie's long-term living arrangements (he is currently living with one of his sisters in the Mclean area) and financial well-being. With so much love and care for Robbie, a number of people have expressed, over the past two weeks, their eagerness to contribute specifically to Robbie's future.  

Mclean Little League and the Mellis family have established this GoFundMe for those who want to contribute specifically to Robbie's future needs and expenses. Contributions to this GoFundMe campaign will be paid directly to the trust in place for Robbie's benefit.  

The community has been incredibly generous in supporting the Bianco family with prayers and contributions to help with the expenses of their dad's passing. We hope that establishing this separate fund will also be helpful to those who have asked to contribute directly to Robbie, our wonderful teammate, neighbor, and friend. We thank you for your support!
