Support Robbie's Kidney Transplant Journey

Hello, my name is Steph Wright, and my husband, Steven and I are starting this GoFundMe on behalf of our friends, Robbie Curtis, Amy Spurlock & their children during a very challenging time.

As you may or may not know, Robbie entered into end-stage renal failure in 2022. He is on home dialysis, which is going well, but it is not a sustainable long-term solution as the dialysis is very hard on his other organs.

Robbie's friend, Janie has generously agreed to donate a kidney to save his life. They have met with the transplant team & now all that is left to do is is raise the necessary funds for the transplant. Amy will need to take at the very least eight weeks off of work to care for Robbie post-surgery. Robbie has been out of work for over a year, and they have been relying solely on Amy's income from her job in childcare, which is barely enough to cover their daily living expenses.

We urgently need to get the transplant process underway. Robbie's children need their father and Amy needs her partner. Robbie is always first to offer support to others, whether it's coaching our kid's tee ball team, helping move, fix a toilet, you name it Robbie is there and always helping someone in need.

The funds raised will help cover medical expenses, daily living costs while both Amy & Robbie are out of work, and other necessary support. His insurance alone costs $700 monthly and they already have over $100,000 in medical debt.
