Robbie O’Reilly and Family

As most of you are aware Robbie has sustained a horrific leg injury last Saturday while on his farm with friends and family.
Robbie had a bike accident to which he collided with a parked car causing severe compound fractures right through his leg.
The accident was very serious with the paramedics having to make a decision on whether to fly him to the Alfred in Melbourne or transport him to Ballarat hospital.
the incident was classed as serious enough to warrant 3 ambulances and a first responder to the scene where Robbie was in and out of consciousness.
The decision was made where he was taken to Ballarat hospital to undergo surgery to try and save his leg where he has had multiple rods and plates inserted in his leg.
At this stage things are hopeful of his leg recovering but not without extensive rehab and an even longer time off work.
Further to this Robbie due to the seriousness of the injury and the amount of emergency services required is going to have some heavy costs associated with the injury to compound the loss of income he will incur in the coming months.
Robbie also had to take 8 weeks off work to take care of Chloe during the recovery from her accident to which he exhausted his leave entitlements earlier this year.
Robbie and his partner Chloe obviously wouldn’t ask for help during this time but I think all that know him, know that he would be the first person to chop out anyone in need without being asked or seeking any recognition.
Robbie has actively been involved in raising funds for others in times of need and I think now it’s time for us to help him and his family.
So without going on to much more I hope that any donations to Robbie and Chloe to help with the financial burden that is coming that will help them focus on the recovery and hopefully get Robbie back annoying everyone sooner rather than later.
