Robbed, medical issues, trying to build our life back up

Hi, my name is Hannah, and I’m reaching out to anyone that would be able to help me and my partner. The last year has absolutely ruined us putting it lightly, and we are doing everything we can to try and get back on track but it’s not enough.

At the start of 2025, I had to have major surgery due to a growth of bone in my ankle. I couldn’t walk for a long time and I’m still recovering now. I still have pain in the ankle and arthritic changes that will never go away. On top of that, in recent years I’ve been diagnosed with a myriad of health problems that have made it harder and harder to work including fibromyalgia, arthritis (although they’re trying to tell me that’s fibro now, but my joints swell and ache like nothing else), and most recently Adenomyosis and endometriosis - as a young woman this is affecting my life massively. I can’t keep up with friends, I can’t attend events without being absolutely exhausted (I had to buy a wheelchair to attend long-standing shows so I can still have a life), on my worst days I can’t eat, shower, or barely do anything - luckily since getting diagnosis and working my life around my health my worst days dont come up as often, unless I get a cold/flu or have some really bad sleep/stress. I cannot be intimate with my partner and we most certainly could never explore children as an option. I trained for years to be a nurse which I had to stop because I couldn’t manage, we started a pet sitting business and we had to stop that because when my health is really bad moving around from place to place was making me more sick.

due to my health this year I’ve missed a lot of work, to the point I owe a lot of money and I’m struggling to catch up. We moved out of our rental property as soon as we could to save money - September - and now our vehicle (which is also our home as it’s a converted van) has had a load of problems. It’s the only thing we have left of value as I’ve sold pretty much everything else to help get us through this time. It needed new injectors and now there’s electrical faults. It’s our home and our only thing left we have to care about.

while our van is at the garage waiting to be fixed, someone’s gotten into the front and robbed everything of value, tools, speaker, then smashed through the separation behind the chairs to try and get in the back to our converted camper home , and theyve taken everything they could get their hands on through the gap, including:

• my partners expensive camera and accessories (~£750) - it was in a hidden place and we just didn’t think to fully empty the whole van because we thought it was safe at the garage, 
• some coats, hoodies, clothes, shoes (I have 1 pair left now - the ones I had on my feet)
• my gym bag and gym clothes 
• sentimental items like some little figurines and other things we cannot afford to replace right now

We’re struggling to get any evidence at the moment that will help us retrieve our stuff and the police won’t help without cctv so we’re waiting for help from businesses around the area. 

I’m asking for help because whatever we do this year doesn’t seem to be enough. We’re really struggling, and the robbery and vandalisation of our van and home has kinda just been the nail in the coffin. I know how hard life is for everyone right now, but if you have even the price of a coffee spare, it would help us immensely and also bring us some hope back that there is still goodness in this world.

I’m usually a very happy bubbly person but this year has given me more stress than I’ve ever had to manage, and watching your body fail you at 30 years old is really really tough.
