Rob Arnold's Brain Cancer - Critical Funds Request

Hi everyone, thank you so much for taking the time to view this Go Fund Me for Rob and Sherlyn (Celone) Arnold.

 

In 2002, Rob, then 30, was diagnosed with Oligodendroglioma, a rare brain cancer. The median life expectancy is 7 to 11 years but because of Rob’s warrior spirit and positive outlook on life, he has defied odds and has lived with this for 20 years. But sadly, Rob’s heroic fight is coming to an end.

 

Rob and Sherlyn have been a staple in the Westport community for years. Rob has been an active member of Bridgeport’s Board of Education and his insistence on fighting for those who couldn’t fight for themselves has been part of his fabric of life. Every year since they met in 2004, Sherlyn and Rob have paid it forward by helping other families affected by brain cancer, now they need our help.

 

The personal cost of fighting this disease has been devastating - both emotionally and financially. And it is overtaking the precious time that Rob has left. This is devastating! Losing a spouse takes everything from a partner. To add excruciating costs is gut-wrenching! Sherlyn is doing all she can, and when she is not at Rob’s side, she is trying to hold down her job and is managing all household obligations in CT from afar! The stress of it all has been too much, and it landed her in the hospital recently and is intermittently out of work for out-patient treatments.
