Rob Wilson needs a liver transplant
Donation protected
My brother was diagnosed with liver failure three years ago this month. The doctor at the time gave us a six month prognosis. Three years later, a different doctor, different state, he is still hanging in there and with a great attitude. He is nearly on the transplant list, just needs to show that he can raise $6,500 to cover expenses while he waits for a liver. Although he is a very hard worker and great at what he does, between doctors appointments and not feeling well, it is difficult to work a steady job. His insurance covers the entire transplant and most of the associated costs. We are lucky that our brother lives close to Duke Hospital where he will be getting the transplant, so living expenses for appointments leading up to and for the month-long stay after the transplant are not a worry. Our mom will help him financially after the transplant until he can start working again. He does carpentry and has amazing skills in any renovation project, big or small. He is a musician with the ability to pick up most any instrument and play it. He is a great cook and most importantly, one of my very favorite people to sit down and have conversations with. I have always looked up to and admired my brother and we have always been friends. If I were a blood match I would give him half my liver in a heartbeat.
