Hello, my name is Joe Wachter and I am a coworker and friend of Rob Stewart who suddenly passed away on January 13, 2022. I met Rob at Glen Echo CC in 2008. At that time, he was an assistant golf professional who went on to be the General Manager at the club. Rob was a kind and generous soul and loved his work. He will be missed by all. He had a great smile and a dedication to his work. He was always dressed smartly and had great taste for the finer things in life. He loved a great cigar as he would relax on the patio at Cork Wine Bar from time to time as I passed by on my way home sometimes joining him for a cocktail. He loved a great play or Broadway show and you would hear him singing outload with his head phones on to his favorite melody while setting up for another of the many events that took place at Glen Echo. This fundraiser will assist his mother Donna with expenses related to his passing and living expenses as she transitions from moving from their home to live with her sister.
