We are starting this GoFundMe for Justin's father, and our children’s grandfather during a very unexpected and difficult time for our family.

In early December, Rob was admitted to Collingwood Hospital after suffering a severe asthma attack. Rob has struggled with breathing issues for quite some time and his asthma has been progressively getting worse. Due to the severity of the asthma attack and lung damage, Rob was put into a medically induced coma and transported to Toronto hospital. He was in a coma for over a month. Upon waking, he was found to have significant neurological damage. Since then, he has been transferred to RVH and is currently back at Collingwood Hospital, where he is receiving wonderful care.

While we are incredibly grateful for the medical teams supporting him, his recovery journey is far from over. He is working hard every day through physiotherapy to regain strength, mobility, and use of his limbs. He is slowly relearning how to walk without a walker and rebuild muscle strength, but it is clear that this will be a long road to recovery.

Unfortunately, due to his condition, he is unable to return to work for the foreseeable future. As a result, everyday expenses and household bills are beginning to fall behind, adding financial stress to an already overwhelming situation.

Anyone who knows Rob knows that he is extremely hard working and his main goal is to provide for his family. He is a wonderful father and grandfather, and we are so thankful he is on the road to recovery.

We are reaching out with humble hearts to ask that anyone who is in a position to help consider donating. Every contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward covering essential living expenses and easing the burden on him during this time.
