Rob & Kylie Pascetta’s cancer battles

In July 2023, Rob Pascetta was diagnosed with Linitis Plastica, a rare and aggressive form of stomach cancer that attacks the stomach and surrounding organs. He has completed 8 rounds of chemo and undergone multiple surgeries, the most recent being in December 2023 in which the incredible team at the Austin Hospital removed his entire stomach along with what they hoped was all of the tumour.

In January of 2024, the week Rob was finally able to come home from hospital and start the long road to recovery, Kylie Pascetta, Rob’s wife and mum to Madi, Georgia & Bella was very shockingly re-diagnosed with incurable stage 4 Breast Cancer after being treated for this 6 years ago back in 2017. Kylie’s cancer has come back in her bones and liver however the family are remaining hopeful that under her incredible team of doctors at the Epworth Richmond, they can continue to manage her diagnosis and pain.

The last 3 months have been nothing short of challenging for Kylie, Rob and their 3 girls and unfortunately just recently in April of 2024, after a routine scan for Rob, doctors discovered that his cancer had returned quickly and aggressively and was given the unimaginable news that there is no treatment left available to Rob and his cancer is terminal. 

Given the above, we are hosting a fundraising morning tea even on Sunday April 28th in an effort to raise funds for this incredible family, during an extremely difficult time. We understand the timeline is tight and this invitation comes with short notice however we hope you can appreciate that we have decided to do this sooner rather than later to ensure Rob can be with us. After the family received the news that their days with Rob may be limited and his health condition changing everyday, we want to ensure he can be there with us on the day so he is able to see all of the love and support around him in person. We hope you can join us next week to cherish this special day with the family.
