Rob & Laura- Need Prayers and Generosity-Hardship

Hi Everyone.  My name is Peter Barrett, a neighbor and friend of Rob and Laura's.  I'm reaching out to you for your help during this time of urgent need for Rob and Laura.


Rob and Laura are in a desperate financial situation due to circumstances that have occurred over the course of the past 4 years when Rob's job was outsourced to Columbia and he had trouble finding a job for his skill set in IT due to his age.  He had continuously looked for a position for a job that would help support his family, but was only able to find a minimum wage position, which he took in hopes that he would in time be able to find another IT position. 


Rob and Laura have had many struggles in their lives beginning with Laura being misdiagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis by 3 doctors over the course of 6 years which resulted in Laura losing a lucrative position to disability. As it turned out Laura had a massive herniated disc compressing her spinal cord which resulted in her undergoing multiple surgeries causing over time a 7 level fusion in her spine.  Recently, they have been going through many trials, including Laura having a heart attack and their daughter, Ashley, suffering from many medical problems due to an unfortunate injury sustained at work.


Ashley is an RN who was kicked in the head and neck by a patient at the end of 2015.  She suffered from a concussion and was then in and out of the hospital most of 2016 for treatment of massive migraines.  She suffered from post concussion syndrome and multiple other injuries to her head and c-spine.  A headache specialist kept Ashley's headaches under control through multiple infusion therapies; however, due to needing pic lines continuously for infusion therapy, she ended up with a blood clot which placed her out of work for 5 months.  Even though Ashley tried to return to work her migraines were out of control and she was placed on disability again 4 months later and has been unable to return to work since July, 2019.  She has also required 3 c-spine surgeries over the past 8 months.


Rob and Laura have always had a bright outlook on life and have helped others whenever there was a need.  They have always been a caring and giving family without expecting anything in return.  They even took care of Laura's mother who had Alzheimer's and Rob's father who had cancer.  Both have now passed away, they helped Rob's Mom get through this difficult time even though they were going through their own difficulties.  They are now in extreme need of financial help so that they don't lose their home and can pay the high costs of medical expenses.


Any financial assistance you can give them would be greatly appreciated and go to a good cause for a couple who has faced and overcome many challenges in their lives.  Prayers would also be greatly appreciated.  Thank you and God Bless you and your families.
