Rob Kelley Brain Tumor Recovery Fund

Everyone who knows Rob Kelley will agree with me that he is one of the best people they know. Rob was just diagnosed with a brain tumor that has to be removed. It sits in a very dangerous place next to the internal carotid artery and the optic nerve. Such a tricky surgery has to be done at a specialty center far from home and will require at least three months of recovery. He is the sole provider for his family and he is very worried about them getting the help they need while he is recovering. Please help this beautiful family.
In the summer of 2019 Rob began having vision changes and some other unexplained neurological issues. He immediately saw his primary doctor and his eye doctor to figure out why. He was referred to have a CT & MRI. Both were inconclusive so life went on as usual while he waited for a referral to a neurologist. Finally, after several miscommunications, weather-related delays, and the neurologist having to take personal time off, his referral was transferred to Billings and he saw Dr Bradshaw.
The diagnosis of brain tumor was very unexpected. After another MRI and chest and abdominal scans it is still not certain if the tumor is cancerous or not but no matter what, it has to be removed. Biopsy is not possible so the only way to know whether it is cancer with 100% certainty is to remove it and test it. There are no neurosurgeons in Montana who handle this type of surgery because of the risks and level of expertise needed so there is no other option but to travel out of state.
Financial burden can be the most difficult part of these types of situations. Once the tumor is removed, Rob will have to be out of work (unpaid) for at least 3 months. His wife, Deserae, grew up in Chinook, MT. They have a wonderful blended family including Crysania, a freshman at the University of Maine, Josh, a senior at Chinook High School, Sarah, a freshman at CHS, Isaiah, an 8th grader at Chinook Junior High School, and Naya, age 4. If you can spare any help they would appreciate it beyond words. They will also gladly accept any and all prayers.
