Rob J Fletcher Memorial Bench
Donation protected
As many of you know, Robert 'Rob" James Fletcher died unexpectedly at the very young age of 21 years old on November 4, 2021 in Santa Rosa California.
What you may not know about Rob is that he had a passion for military service, an encyclopedic knowledge of World War 2, and a fascination for religious and cultural studies. Rob was a loving and playful child, and a disciplined, conscientious young adult. Those who were close to Rob will remember his comic-timing, quick-wit, fashion sense and infectious laugh. Rob was thoughtful and considerate; he never left a room without telling his family he loved them. Handsome and well dressed with a big smile is how we will always remember him.
We need your help in keeping Rob’s memory alive. We, a small group of family friends, are collecting donations for a memorial bench to be placed in Shiloh Park in Windsor, which is very close to the Fletcher family home. This bench will be a place to visit and remember that although Rob left this world behind that day, he still lives on through our hearts. Maybe a stranger walking in the park will sit and contemplate their struggles and find peace in that moment in Shiloh Park.
Donations above and beyond the cost of the bench and installation will be used to plant trees in fire burnt areas in Sonoma County, California, creating a memorial grove in Rob’s honor. You may donate here or connect with Rita or Daria with a personal cash or check donation.
All donations help to make this vision a reality. We appreciate your generosity. Once we have the bench and a date for installation, we will share details and the location so you too can visit Rob’s memorial bench and sit for a bit in the beautiful Shiloh Park located in Windsor, California.
Fighting every day is not a sign of weakness. It’s a sign of immeasurable strength. Convincing yourself to keep fighting every day is a courageous battle.
