Rob Hudson, beloved soulmate, father, and son

Hello, my name is Geraldine. I am fundraising with this sad, sad occasion, to help my lovely friend, Kyla, be able to put her lovely partner to rest.

Rob, her kind, sweet, funny and generous partner had, unfortunately, suffered two heart attacks within a month of each other, and sadly, he was unable to fight through and recover after the last one. He fought and did his best, but eventually he lost the battle, leaving his family heartbroken over this terrible loss.

I am trying to help Kyla and their family be able to put him to rest, as the cost of basic funeral services is something that they cannot handle at the moment. Rob has been at the hospital, on hold, for two weeks now. Government subsidy will not be able to kick in until a death certificate is produced and a large amount of taxes get paid, both of which requiring money (~$1400 and $800) respectively.

Furthermore, Kyla and her son were forced to move out of their shared suite since rent became unaffordable with the loss of Rob, making it financially impossible for her to recover her car from the tow yard that it was taken to, after it was damaged during Rob's heart attack incident (at the wheel). To recover it and be able to return to work, she needs to pay the tow yard approx. $1000 at this point. She is talking to ICBC to see what options she has, but at this point, anything helps.

If you are able to help in any way, even just advice, anything at all will go a long way to helping Kyla put everything in order and be able to give Rob a proper sendoff. She is doing her best to stay strong, and we are here to help.
