The Call You Never Want to Receive…..

Early Tuesday evening on May 1, 2018, Heather Heath got a phone call that no wife should ever have to get…her husband had been in a horrific motorcycle accident on his way home from work. Because of the accident, Robert sustained serious injuries, including a broken hip, a Femur fractured in two places and a severely injured lower leg, which required a partial amputation of the injured leg. The surgeons stabilized Robert’s hip and femur, but further surgeries may be required to try to save his leg below the knee.

Robert is self-employed, and therefore we are setting up this GoFundMe page. Robert has a wife and two beautiful children and is an unbelievable father (and husband!). His children are his whole life and he works very, very hard to provide for his family.  Robert faces months of rehab and many hard nights, but he has a very strong character and we all know that he will persevere and continue to be the caring, devoted, hardworking husband and father that he has always been.

Although it is believed that his insurance will cover his medical bills, he won’t be able to work or make a living for several months. It is our goal, to raise at least $10,000, that will help to make a couple of months of house payments for the Heaths.

Robert is a long-time motorcycle rider and talked endlessly about how safe he tried to be and how he never took chances on his bike. He was more adamant about this once he had children, as he knew how important he was to their lives. He would say, however, that he couldn’t control all the other drivers out there, and unfortunately on this fateful night, a motorist made an illegal U-turn in front of Robert on Santa Teresa Boulevard, not far from his home in Morgan Hill.

There are  all type of people out there, but Robert really is, one of the good guys. He is always to first one to help others, whether it be at work in an office full of employees, or with his family and their personal needs.

Now, it would be great if we could turn the tables and do a good deed for Robert.

Thank you for your support.

P.S. Drive safely and always be aware of motorcycles.
