Life has kind of kicked us in the teeth in the past year. First, Rob (who already had a lifetime supply of mental illnesses) was diagnosed with schizophrenia. A few months later Erin had a stroke, the effects of which have been debilitating. Then Rob, in no small part because of his illness, lost his job--and our health insurance. Work has been scarce. Rob has found a part-time marketing job, and we receive a little royalty money. But it is not enough to cover our bills, especially our mounting medical debt, much of which has been going into collections.
And now we have to move. It will be good, because we're going somewhere significantly cheaper, but the simple costs of the move are daunting. We can't cover our medical bills, or even our monthly expenses. Even our kids have been fighting to manage the last few months of school without their ADHD prescriptions.
We have survived the last seven months on faith, blessings, and kindness of our friends. We have resisted the urge to start a GoFundMe page, but we feel we are out of options. We are out of money and out of time.
We know that times are tough for everyone, and we don't want to damage friendships with pleas for money. If you can spare a dollar, we'd be so grateful. If you can't, we totally understand and love you. Thank you so much.
