Roar's Recovery Fund

My name is Rory Ladd, also called Roar by my friends.

At the end of February 2025, I became very ill with what was thought to be a case of norovirus. On March 4th, I was taken to the ER where the doctor told me that the nausea and abdominal pain I'd felt was actually appendicitis. My appendix had been ruptured for several days and had formed an abscess. I ended up spending 8 days in the hospital, and underwent emergency surgery. Now, a month later, I am relatively pain free and the incisions have scarred up and stopped draining.

I decided to start this GoFundMe after talking it over with friends. I'm currently in the process of trying to get Medicaid sorted out, which will hopefully cover most, if not all, of the $72,000+ in medical bills. However, even if Medicaid goes through, I have had significant out-of-pocket costs, so I am hoping this campaign will help offset some of those costs and help me get back on my feet after what I've been through.

I am incredibly grateful for the love and support I've received from family and friends in the last 2 months.
