Hello and welcome to our Go Fund Me page. We are four Explorers from the Raptors Explorer Scout Unit in Newark taking part in Discover Europe 2025.

14 days, (atleast) 6 countries.... 1 amazing adventure!

We are now busy planning the route, finding accommodation and searching for things to do and see along the way, all while revising for our A Level exams in the summer! The route we decide on has to take us through mandatory checkpoints at Mannheim in Germany and Kanderstegg in Switzerland. We will only be using trains, buses and ferries - the only flight we have booked is our return from Palermo, and we are hoping to stay in hostels, scout huts, campsites and even on an overnight ferry across the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Along the way we have challenges to try and complete! They include shopping in a local market, meeting a local dignitary, finding the tallest building, stroking a wild boar and visiting as many countries as possible along the way!

To take part in this amazing opportunity we have a fundraising target of £1200 each to cover travel, accommodation, food and the flight home, which is the only time we are allowed to fly!

We are busy fundraising for the trip and this page will help us to collect any donations from those unable to attend our events. All of the money raised will be spent on travel, accommodation and food.
