My name is Emma. I am 17 years old. In April of this year, my mom was diagnosed with her second type of cancer, stage 3, limited Small Cell lung cancer. She survived ovarian cancer in 2014. Her prognosis is 5 to 7 years. We are grateful that they didn’t send her home to get her affairs in order. I am the youngest out of her five children who all love her unconditionally. We would like to make lasting memories full of adventure and go see places that my mom has always wished to see. She has taken care of us all of her life, giving us everything she has. We would like to give something back to her as a thank you for her caring heart. You may not know our family, but it would mean the world for us to see her smile again. Up until April 1st she was working at a job she loved as a full time Certified Medical Assistant. Her scans after 3 chemo cycles were amazing. She has five children ages from 17 to 37. Her children are the center of her life and she has acted selflessly to make our lives without burden. I am raising this money so that we can travel as a family while she is in high spirits. She hasn’t traveled very much - she has always worked and tried to provide the best she could for all of her kids. I believe now it should be her time to do something for herself that she has always talked about doing. She has always done things for others and put other people ahead of herself. Life has thrown many stressful events at her in the last 10 years. We will also use any money raised to help with medical expenses and bills etc as needed. We are very grateful for any and all donations.
