Roads of Faith: Fund a Van for the Servant Sisters

Hello,

My name is Philip Prendeville from Askeaton, Co. Limerick. I am a member of the Home of the Mother (homeofthemother.org). The Home of the Mother is an International Public Association of Faithful of the Catholic Church with pontifical approval. Our three core missions are:

  • The Defense of the Eucharist
  • The Defense of the Honor of Our Mother, especially in the privilege of her Virginity
  • The Conquest of the Youth for Jesus Christ

As part of its mission, the Servant Sisters of the Home of the Mother, inspired by the life and example of Sr. Clare Crockett, are actively evangelising the people of Ireland (in particular the youth) through various activities and outreach programs.

Currently, the Servant Sisters are hoping to get a 9-seater van to help them travel to and from the many activities they host and attend, including summer camps for kids and teens, adult retreats, Easter encounters, and many more. A van will allow them to transport both people and equipment (the likes of speakers, air mattresses, arts & crafts, food, clothing etc etc) more easily to these activities.

All funds from this campaign will go directly to the Home of the Mother to help purchase the van. To raise awareness and funds for this cause, I will be cycling approximately 330km (not a huge distance in the grand scheme of things, but I’m not as fit as I used to be—I know of a guy who cycled from Ireland to China!) starting in Cahir, Co. Tipperary, where some of the Sisters are based, and finishing in Killygordon, Co. Donegal, where they also have a presence. I plan to complete this journey in about four days, staying with fellow Home of the Mother families along the way (please let me know if there is a space on your lawn for a tent :). I will start off Fri 11th July & hopefully finish on Mon 14th July.

The campaign will run until the final day of the cycle, and I invite you to support the Sisters by donating to this cause. Your generosity, no matter how small, will directly contribute to helping the Sisters carry out their mission.

Thank you in advance for your kindness and support!
Sr. Clare, pray for us.
Our Lady of Mount Carmel, our Queen and our Mother, bless our Home.
