The Unexpected Loss of Andrew Watkins

Thank you to everyone who has donated. With heavy hearts we would like to inform you all that Andrew passed away yesterday afternoon during surgery. All funds raised will go towards medical and funeral expenses as well as supporting Hannah, AJ and Emberlyn through this difficult time.

Family, friends, community - As you all know, we do A LOT of fundraising for the multiple organizations we're involved in. Whether it be cheer, PTO, Summer Rec or any of the other organizations we support, you have all been great supporters our causes.

I'm coming to you now, asking for help with something much more near and dear to my heart, family. Specifically my sister Hannah, brother-in-law Andrew and my niece and nephew Emberlyn and AJ.

Yesterday afternoon Andrew was in a horrific motorcycle accident. He was life flighted to UPMC where he was taken immediately into surgery after initial tests and evaluations were completed. He spent 7 hours in the OR yesterday and will be undergoing additional surgeries today. Multiple ongoing surgeries will be required as part of his healing journey. He is currently stable but unable to communicate. We are unsure at this time how long he will be hospitalized. He will require extensive physical therapy and it is unknown when/if he can return to work.

It is currently unknown what the next several weeks look like for this young family but we do know they need all the love and support they can get.

As with any tragic situation comes financial burden. My hope is that this GoFundMe can help with the expenses of travel, food, time off work, etc. as they navigate this difficult time.
