Because of you, Road2IR has now sent 152 volunteer teaching teams to East Africa: 94 to Tanzania, 34 to Uganda and 24 to Rwanda. We have graduated 27 Interventional Radiologists trained in Tanzania and Uganda, and our first Rwandan class graduates next year. Our graduates come from five countries (Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Nigeria and the DRC), and the 14 fellows in training today hail from eleven nations across the continent, from Senegal to Somalia.

Most of these doctors are the first, or among the first, IR physicians their countries have ever had.

Our model hasn't changed: send volunteer IR faculty, technologists and nurses to train fellows and care for patients in-country. We cover their airfare, housing and local transportation; our major operational expenses.

Our goal: $75,000 to secure a strong start to the 2026/2027 Academic Year. Every gift helps to put a volunteer IR team on the ground.
