Road to World Twirling Champion
Donation protected
We would like to introduce you to the newest Twirling member of Team USA, Lincoln Aberegg. Lincoln is 9 years old, from Bellefonte, PA, and has been twirling competitively with M Twirling Team, under the direction of Matt and Meredith Freeman, for 2 years. In July, Lincoln competed in the National Twirling Championships at Notre Dame. During this week long competition, Lincoln placed in the following events for the 7-9 age group:
1st Place Men’s Open Solo
1st Place Men’s Rhythmic Twirl
2nd Place Men’s Grand National Champion Solo
3rd Place Junior Men’s World Qualifying Solo - This event was open to all men ages 0-15. Lincoln was the youngest contestant.
Lincoln’s 3rd place finish in the World Qualifier granted him a position on Team USA. In April 2020, he will travel to the Netherlands to compete for the title of Junior Men’s Solo World Champion.
The financial aspect of this endeavor is significant. We are asking for financial support from our community, businesses, family and friends. This support will help us defer the costs associated with twirling for Lincoln and his family. It is Lincolns’ dream to one day be the Penn State Feature Twirler and march into Beaver Stadium with the Blue Band. The opportunity to perform on the world stage would help Lincoln gain the confidence and drive to one day achieve that goal.
Please consider making a donation to support Lincoln in his twirling endeavors.
Thank you,
David & Megan Aberegg
